Questi edifici fanno parte del progetto di ricostruzione dal dopo guerra al 1990, chi vuole dedicare tempo a shopping e cultura quì ha da passare giornate intere!... The large commercial buildings in the central part of Friedrichstrasse, one of the most important and famous streets of Berlin,Germany .These buildings are part of the project of reconstruction from postwar up to 1990, those who want to spend time in shopping and culture here has to spend whole days!

Memoriale del Olocausto, Berlino, Germania. Un monumento che porta al silenzio ed alla riflessione, mentre lo si percorre addentrandosi tra le 2711 stele di cemento grigio ( o almeno così dovrebbe essere per tutti, cosa che non ho notato nella mia visita, purtroppo )... Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, Berlin, Germany. A monument that leads to silence and reflection, while walking between the 2711 grey concrete memorial stones (or so it should be for all, thought of which I did not notice in my visit, unfortunately).

Duomo di Berlino, Berlino, Germania. Il Duomo venne costruito nel 1905 sulle fondamenta della più antica cattedrale e diventando il simbolo del culto protestante nella città. Circa un secolo di vita travagliato, considerando la massiccia distruzione durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale ed il conseguente stato di rovina fino al 1973,anno in cui iniziò il suo restauro terminato vent'anni dopo. Dal 1993 ripresero così anche le celebrazioni della Messa, vietata precedentemente dal DDR... Berliner Dom, Berlin, Germany. The Cathedral was built in 1905 on the foundations of the more ancient cathedral and becoming the symbol of Protestant worship in the city. About a century of troubled life, considering the massive destruction during the Second World War and the subsequent state of disrepair until 1973, when it began its restoration completed twenty years later. Since 1993 resumed so also the celebrations of the Mass, previously prohibited by the DDR.

Porta di Brandeburgo, Berlino, Germania. Un buffo incontro in uno dei luoghi più famosi del mondo! Da elemento divisorio della città a simbolo della riunificazione, la porta di Brandeburgo è l'unica ancora presente delle porte che un tempo consentivano l'ingresso a Berlino. Bello vedere come le persone si divertano a oltrepassare più volte la porta da un lato all'altro, un semplice gesto che fino a pochi anni fa era impossibile... Brandenburg Gate , Berlin, Deutchland. A funny encounter in one of the most famous places in the world! From dividing element of the city to a symbol of reunification, the Brandenburg Gate is the only one still present of the doors that once allowed the entrance to Berlin.Nice to see how people have fun to pass the door several times from side to side, a simple gesture that until a few years ago it was impossible.

Reichstag, Berlino, Germania. Non tutti i mali vengono per nuocere,verrebbe da dire mentre si osserva il Reichstag. Attualmente sede del Parlamento Tedesco, l'incendio che lo distrusse in gran parte nel 1933 ha permesso la realizzazione da parte dell'architetto Norman Foster di una struttura all'avanguardia dell'ecosostenibilità, rappresentando in modo perfetto il particolare mix della città tra storia e modernità... Reichstag, Berlin, Germany. Every cloud has a silver lining, one might say while looking at the Reichstag. Currently the seat of the German Parliament, the fire that destroyed most of it in 1933 has allowed the creation by the architect Norman Foster of a structure at the forefront of environmental sustainability, representing perfectly the particular mix of the city between history and modernity.

La maestosa porta del mercato di Mileto,costruita nel 120 a.C. nell'antica città greca , è uno dei pezzi più pregiati della collezione dello spettacolare Museo di Pergamo a Berlino. Curioso osservare il fascino che trasmette ai visitatori, si resta ipnotizzati dall'unione così armoniosa di diverse culture architettoniche...
